contribute meaningfully to Global Economic Empowerment
Our MISSION is to:
• Provide independent macroeconomic, fiscal and monetary policy advice
to Treasuries and Central Banks that will form the bedrock for
sustainable economic development compatible with the social and
cultural background of a particular economy or economic grouping
• Advise on tax policy, legislation and administration taking into
account realities of economic and social as well as business structure
and the taxable capacity vis-à-vis the composition of GDP
• Both advise on and implement commercialisation and privatisation
initiatives in the public sector and corporate start-ups and
restructurings in the private sector
• Tackle institutional capacity and change management issues in public
and parastatal sectors effectively
• Primarily within Malawi, to provide expertise bases for capital
market development and to restructure troubled and insolvent business
enterprises in a constructive manner minimising economic disruption
and taking due account of the equitable as well as the legal interests
of all stakeholders |
